About Us
Earth Rangers believes that children have both the power and desire to change the world and the right to inherit a healthy planet. We are an innovative charitable organization with a mission to inspire children with a lasting passion to build a better future – a green future in which today’s children are transformed from being the chief inheritors of environmental damage into a powerful and determined part of the solution.
We are combining kids’ passion for animals and the environment with their love of entertainment, to engage and motivate millions of children.
Our Impact
Through our live shows and our online programs, children gain the knowledge, skills and tools necessary to have a genuine and measurable impact on the natural world and their own future.
Education
Earth Rangers reaches hundreds of thousands of kids every year through its school shows, community events, and soon, its Power of One show at the Royal Ontario Museum. Positive environmental messages have a deeper meaning when kids see a live animal up close, learn its habitat is under threat and know they have the power to do something about it.
Pre and post-school show activities for educators teach children about the interconnection of all life, helping to make mathematical and biological concepts fun and engaging.
Action
Learning continues when kids visit EarthRangers.com, where they’ll find action programs they can start at school. Hundreds of schools have already taken up this challenge by initiating litterless lunches, recycling, vermi-composting and anti-idling campaigns. Some schools have been able to reduce their waste by 25 per cent.
At EarthRangers.com kids will also learn about simple things they and their families can do on a daily basis to make a difference. Kids are encouraged to log activities, such as taking short showers, turning lights off, and saying no to plastic bags, online. They further develop their reading and writing skills by sharing their green tips and stories with others.
